  Balto : [nearly backs into Kodi, then runs off]

• Kodi : [after Balto tells him about the plane being faster]  You're just wrong!

• Kodi : We're late again!

  Kirby : Yeah, well, what's the big deal? We're just runnin' the mail, not savin' the town.

  Ralph : Like your old man!

  Kirby : Zip it, Ralph! We would've been on time if you hadn't been draggin' your butt the whole way!

  Ralph : Me? I've got a broken toenail and it's driving me crazy! Besides, Kirby, you kept yanking to the right!

  Kirby : I had a lousy breakfast this mornin'! I got no energy!

  Dusty : Hey, hey, it wasn't our faults, y'know? Hello! The ice was slippery? And I mean, everybody knows the snow is treacherous in the spring.

  Kodi : But that's no excuse for being late! Everyone counts on us! Neither snow, nor rain, nor sleet, nor hail will stop the U.S. mail!

  Dusty : [chuckling]  Yeah, what are they gonna do? Fire us?

  [laughs] 

  Kirby : Look, Kodi. Bottom line: we got the mail to Nome. Enough said.

• Kodi : Hi dad, hi mom.

  Balto : Looking good out there son.

  Kodi : You think so? I've been practicing on the beach I'm kind of... Well I'm hoping for a chance at lead dog, like you dad.

  Balto : Well, if you keep working hard I'm sure you get there.

  [Balto sees the place that he chased earlier that has now landed] 

  Balto : Its here! My god it's here!

  Kodi : What's here?

• Balto : Son, there are more important things than your job. That man is out there probably freezing to death and you're just here sitting, doing nothing about it. Good day to you SIR!

  Kodi : But dad! I don't even think he's out there! And even if he was, he tried to steal our jobs! He is the ENEMY!

  Balto : That is no excuse. You think your job is worth more than a life?

  [sighs] 

  Balto : I thought you were better than that!

  [leaves] 

  Kodi : [sighs]  I'm sorry, dad.
