Prior to reuniting with Creed for a pair of rock cruises and a North American tour, singer Scott Stapp will embark on his own solo jaunt in support of his upcoming album, Higher Power.
Stapp just announced a brief US outing that kicks off March 10th in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, and runs through a March 22nd show in Clear Lake, Iowa. A Live Nation pre-sale for select dates starts Wednesday (January 17th) at 10 a.m. local time using the code Spotlight, while a general on-sale starts Friday at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster.
Fans can also check for deals or pick up tickets to sold-out shows via StubHub, where your purchase is 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s Fan Protect program.
In addition to the March shows, Stapp will also play a couple of previously announced January concerts, including one gig opening for Daughtry. Tickets to those shows are available now.

Ace Frehley would love to tour Europe in support of his upcoming album, 10,000 Volts, but he has one big hurdle to get past. The founding Kiss guitarist is currently unable to renew his passport due to a huge tax debt.
The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer was asked by Finnish music site Chaos Zine about what’s preventing him from touring in Europe (and presumably other overseas locations), and he gave a very honest answer.
“Well, there’s a good chance I can make it to Europe in late summer if I get my passport renewed,” responded Frehley. “I’ve been having issues with renewing my passport because I have some problems with the IRS [Internal Revenue Service], and it’s not really the passport bureau but the IRS. Since I owe the IRS a couple of hundred grand, and they just instituted a new law that if you owe...

Kerry King’s long-awaited post-Slayer project will finally see the light of day in 2024. While no formal album announcement has been made as of yet, the metal legend’s outfit will release a debut album produced by Josh Wilbur, as King exclusively tells Heavy Consequence.
While we tried our best to get the names of the other band members, aside from drummer Paul Bostaph, who has readily shared his involvement in the group on social media, King did offer up Wilbur’s name as the man behind the boards.
The acclaimed producer has worked with such acts as Lamb of God, Megadeth, Gojira, Trivium, and Korn, among others. And it appears that King was very pleased with his work, already eyeing him for a second album.
“The producer is Josh Wilbur, it’s my first time working with him, and we hit it off great,” the guitarist tells us. “Can...

Gary DeVore, the screenwriter of movies including Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Raw Deal and Back Roads, starring Tommy Lee Jones and Sally Field, went missing in June 1997, sparking a major manhunt.
DeVore’s mysterious disappearance has never been truly solved and there have been a number of conspiracy theories surrounding the subject including one that the CIA may have played a role in whatever happened to him.
This story is the subject of Witnessed: Fade to Black, an eight-part podcast from Campside Media and Sony Music Entertainment, in association with Stowaway Entertainment, which premieres its season finale next week. There’s also been an interesting revelation since the show debuted; Gary’s wife Wendy DeVore recently discovered over 50 scripts and treatments, written by DeVore, and Wendy and Stowaway’s Jeff Singer are now working to see if there’s a second life for these scripts.
Titles include Hurricane Chaser, Deadlocked and Hard Rock,...

The “Fab Four” are also fathers, with each Beatles member getting married and having at least one child. When Ringo Starr has his first son with Mo Starkey, he chose a name that sounded “western” — even if he didn’t think it was a cowboy name.
Here’s what the drummer said about his child’s name.

All four Beatles members were married at one point, the first of whom was John Lennon. He wed his college sweetheart after she became pregnant with their first son, Julian.
The couple eventually divorced (with Paul McCartney writing “Hey Jude” for Lennon’s son), and Lennon had a second child with Yoko Ono.
