what is this even doing here?
baconbit13 January 2008
The IMDb is getting way out of hand. The World Series is not a Television Mini-Series. These people are not actors. They are not even cast members. And listing people who were seen in the CROWD? And then having the nerve to put "uncredited" next to some? Hey, I was at a playoff game once. Can I put myself in the IMDb as being a "Member of Crowd" at that game? I was clearly visible on camera for a few seconds in that game. I was also seen on Sportscenter in a highlight from that game. I guess that makes me a big time TV star. Oh, and then there were those three times I asked a question on Donahue. I want a Kevin Bacon number!

The Greatest Comeback in Sports History Complete
tekkodbz4 December 2004
This was the Story. The one that everyone waited for. The Comeback. In the year of the Underdogs (Pistons, Lighting, even Panthers even though they lost, no one expected them to make it), this just capped it. Down 3-0 to the New York Yankees, the Red Sox were dead in the water, or were they? How could a cursed team come back from 3-0 and win the series? It could never happen!!! But it did! And so here they were. Standing in the World Series. And not only did they complete the comeback. But they SWEPT! Possibly the Most Historic, Incredible, Amazing story in Sports history. This will be talked about for ages to come.

Red Sox become "America's Team".
douglas-emo9 January 2005
America fell in love with a "bunch of idiots". Ever since the American revolution we have always rooted for the underdog. The Yankee's with all that money, all those superstars fell apart at the seams for the biggest choke in sports history. When the Red Sox made it to the world series you could feel the curse fading away. For all the those great Red Sox players, and fans throughout the years this one was for them. 1918 is over, Babe Ruth said the happiest time in his life was when he (pitched) for the Red Sox he finally lifted his curse. Red Sox nation rejoiced, can you believe it? Yankee fans must now live with the greatest choke job in the history of sports. Good can conquer evil! The red Sox win.
