Great show!
intern3-12 August 2007
My children absolutely love Mustard Pancakes! This show is definitely unique in its presentation and a wholesome program for young children. With its wonderful sing-a-longs and simple life lessons, people of any age will enjoy Mustard Pancakes. The host, Courtney Campbell, is absolutely adorable and so are her puppet animal family members. The songs in this show are very contagious, especially the theme song. I find myself humming it at work sometimes then I catch myself. Whenever someone ask me what I'm singing, I tell them about the show and how great it is for kids. I don't know what my children would do without their daily morning dose of Mustard Pancakes. I would recommend this show to anyone who is looking for something different and fun for their kids to enjoy.

kiddies love the "Mustard Pancakes"

Courtney Campbell's DVD and CD both rock for my kids! Reminiscent of Mr. Rogers, the show has a family of animal puppets that interact with Courtney while they discuss cleanliness, fun, and being special. My kids have really taken to the show. The music and the layout is actually entertaining and keeps them (and me, for that matter) engaged in what's going on. For once, something the kids and I can agree that should go in the DVD. One of my favorite episodes is where the animals cook for Courtney and she goes into story time about her childhood. The show prompts the wheels in the heads of my kids to start turning. They started asking me about what I did as a kid and how my life compared to that of Courtney. Every time they watch a new episode they walk around repeating what was said and done in the episode. With the show's content, I don't mind them repeating anything at all. In fact, I've noticed them become a little more considerate toward each other and their schoolmates. I'm happy to have such a show influence my kids.

Great show for kids

A fellow young mom friend of mine recently introduced me and my four-year-old daughter to Mustard Pancakes. I gave it a try because of its odd but amusing name, but boy was I surprised that it's the family's favorite DVD. It's on all the time.

My little girl loves the puppets, especially Tiny the beagle (we have one too) and after only having the DVD a week, constantly sang (and still sings) the theme song. I really love the Mr Rogers vibe that Courtney Campbell (the host) gives off. Almost grandmotherly, but she's not imposing as she teaches important lessons about friends and family and getting along with others.

A great kids show in the same vein as Under the Umbrella Tree!

This is a great kids show very reminiscent of Under the Umbrella Tree! The lessons in the show are of universally good morals, without being overly preachy as some may put it. The puppet characters of Tiny Tina, Mo, Mr. D and Oogleberry are unique, well-voiced & well-acted. Courtney Campbell does a great job as the central authority figure, and the music is great. You can see how it earned a Leo Award! I'm really not sure why its ratings are so low on here! One of the best parts of the show is the story-telling time whereby the puppets become characters in the story being told by Courtney to teach some lesson. There's also a neat end segment where they all read postcards sent from viewers(?) from all over the globe and teach viewers about the place or country the letter came from. It'll be good fun for any kid ages 3-10.

Great Show!

I Love this Show! It is great for kids and adults. The dogs and cat seem so real! It is fun and has great learning experience. Courtney is so kind and easy to understand. Everyone learns about other countries in each episode. I like when Mo, Mr Dee, Tiny Tina and Ogleberry act out other stories and morals. The house they all live in is adorable. The episodes seem short, but I assume they are short to keep the attention of young kids. My husband and I watch them and enjoy them. It easy for viewers to sing along with the songs that Courtney and her friends come up with. I wish the show had gone on for more Seasons.
