HBO documentary about the Project ALS foundation
catherine-b20 May 2005
I found this documentary to be very interesting and informative. I myself have been diagnosed with motor neuron disease, and I would recommend this film to anyone who would like to learn about this illness and the foundation formed to combat the disease, Project ALS. It is very helpful towards understanding the illness and the thoughts of the person who suffers from it. It is more educational than any other film I've seen about the disease. The only complaint I have of the documentary is that it doesn't go further into Jenifer's progression than it does.

It allows the viewer to see the progression of ALS. It is also very educational regarding how Project ALS was formed, the work that it does, and the successes it has enabled through its fund raising for treatment of the disease.

It is done in an interview format where the sister who was stricken by the illness is shown in her room, joined by her caregivers and her sisters who helped her found the organization. It also contains video footage of Jenifer before she was ill.

I am certainly going to purchase it to lend to the people around me to see.
