He's Saturday Night Live's youngest ever writer – and now, thanks to a short story narrated by a condom, Simon Rich is making it big in print. He talks about the literary power of God, dating, Hitler and nymphomaniac aliens
Simon Rich has written two comic novels (Elliot Allagash and What in God's Name?), three story collections, served as the youngest-ever member of the sketch-writing team behind Us comedy show Saturday Night Live, and written a screenplay for Pixar. Despite all these achievements, when we meet in a Soho restaurant it's hard to resist asking him: "Where are your parents and why have they left you here alone?"
Rich, son of former New York Times columnist Frank and brother of novelist Nathaniel, is baby-faced, even Bambi-faced, and so slight he must have to dart around in the shower just to get wet. Yet at 29, he is arguably the wittiest American humourist of his generation.

We’ve known Kona Grill is a favorite among the ‘Breaking Dawn’ cast, but we didn’t think K-Stew would dine without Rob!
Kristen Stewart went on a date sans her boyfriend Robert Pattinson with a much older man — her dad! So K-Stew is staying totally loyal to her fanged lover, and simply opted for a low-key father-daughter date with her dad, John! HollywoodLife.com spoke to a source who reveals that Kristen and her dad went to the restaurant about two weeks ago and dined on raw fish.
“They were extremely nice,” says our source. “They ate sushi and just seemed really happy.”
Popular items on Kona Grill’s menu include: Sweet-Chili Glazed Salmon ($19.75) and Miso-Sake Marinated Sea Bass ($23).
We’ve told you before that Joe Jonas, Ashley Greene and even Robert Pattinson are fans of the Japanese-American fusion restaurant, we just hope they all go there together — soon!

Leading Indian-American fusion musician Karsh Kale, who has set the background score for Farhan Akhtar's movie Karthik Calling Karthik, wants to continue his brush with Bollywood because "he loves cinematic music"."Karthik Calling Karthik has allowed me to experiment with different styles of music though the score is more Hollywood than Bollywood. This is the first time I have composed music for an 80-piece string orchestra and peppered it with electronica and rock. The songs are about life, documenting a cultural journey," Kale told Ians in an interview. The musician, who grew up in New York's Stony ...
