- Numerous instances of fear being used to amplify the terror in the opponents Batman faces, usually with frightening imagery. Appearances of Scarecrow, Zaz, and the Arkham inmates are unsettling, particularly in their sudden, frantic movements.

- The sneaking missions involve sounds of enemy heartbeats and frantic movements, including gripping and intense music. Suspenseful.
