The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • A disabled man is tied up and threatened with torture. Later we see him bloodied and in pain from the wounds inflicted upon him. He is euthanized to end his suffering.
  • A woman is captured and tied up and told she will be tortured. Before the assault begins, she manages to free herself with her hidden knife, and when the torturer is not looking she approaches him and stabs him several times, then she makes a cut in his mouth.
  • There is a monster that stabs and eats children. This is only shown through illustrated panels, but the central character does confront and eventually escapes from the monster.
  • A girl is shot in the abdomen, some blood is shown on her dress and drops from her mouth and nose.
  • A man is shot in the cheek, blood fills the bottom part of his eye as it rolls up.
  • The toad looks scary and he vomits his entire body. Very terrifying and nasty.
  • A character is shot in the chest by the antagonist while walking away from him. We see the exit wound from with shirt, with blood spreading from it. The man slowly removes his glasses while walking and eventually falls over. More emotionally upsetting rather than graphic.
  • A man shoots another person twice in the chest or head, he quickly dies.
  • Someone stabs a villain in the back, and then in the chest.
  • Bloody eyeballs are seen lying on an table.
  • A villain is shot in the head
  • A man is briefly shown with a large cut through his cheek. He is later shown stitching it (this scene last about 45 seconds and is slighlty graphic).
  • A woman goes into labor, we hear her screaming, we see some blood-soaked sheets removed from the room.
  • A frog throws up orange goo (possibly his internal organs, though not bloodied, in a fantasy style) and collapses into frog skin.
  • The main character gets shot in her belly. Blood is shown for some seconds.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • A man drinks a glass of alcohol that has been laced with a sedative. It causes him to stumble and stagger.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Both scenes showing Vidal's cheek cut are scary, however brief. An earlier scene where Vidal beats a man's nose in with a glass bottle is brutal and intense as well.
  • The pale man eats the heads of fairies, close shot, bloody and gory.
  • The Pale Man could be frightening. The Faun's appearance could also frighten.
