Well acted and a great mood--though the story itself is only okay

This film is one of many that are included in a collection of short films entitled "Shorts: Volume Four". This and the rest of the films in this series are interesting shorts made mostly but up and coming film makers.

RACCOON is a bit poorly named, as the raccoon in the story seems rather secondary and you'd have no indication from the title that it's about a loss of innocence, betrayal and the Vietnam War! Despite this short-coming as well as a story that has quite a few lulls, the film has some very good acting and especially nice direction--as a sense of loss and abandonment is well conveyed. A very interesting story that makes you want to see more from the team responsible for this film.
