Lorde has come under fire after comparing her friend Taylor Swift to an “autoimmune disease” in an interview with The Guardian on Saturday.
Speaking on the difficulty of maintaining a close friendship with someone as famous as Swift, 27, Lorde told The Guardian, “It’s like having a friend with very specific allergies. There are certain places you can’t go together. Certain things you can’t do.”
“There are these different sets of considerations within the friendship,” Lorde continued. “It’s like having a friend with an autoimmune disease.”...

"Thank you for the music you make, the advice you give, the thoughts you provoke, and the way you've made my life more beautiful...

To mark the release of Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa, Rob takes us through the high points of Alan Partridge's TV career...
Certain TV shows are watched so excessively that quoting them in general conversation has just became part of the norm. The Office, The Simpsons and Spaced are three such, but none have been stolen from with quite as much regularity as Norfolk’s favourite son, Alan Partridge. For better or for worse, Partridgisms have cemented their place in our everyday vernacular. The likes of, “cos I’m a bloody bloke”, “see the match?” and “scum, sub-human scum” are just a few of the phrases that AP (with a little help from his writers) has gifted to the world over the years.
He may be a socially awkward, insensitive, selfish, narcissist obsessed with his own celebrity status, but despite all this, it’s hard to not love Alan.

Sacha Baron Cohen has fallen out with Queen over a proposed warts-and-all biopic of the late singer. We imagine how some other cleaned-up portrayals might pan out
The actor Sacha Baron Cohen has backed away from playing Freddie Mercury in a feature-length biopic, apparently after falling out with surviving members of the band Queen. According to the website Deadline, Baron Cohen was keen to star in a warts-and-all, R-rated portrayal of the singer, while Mercury's former band mates Brian May and Roger Taylor are insisting on a rather more family-friendly – and, one imagines, considerably shorter – PG version.
The whole project is now in doubt, but what if May and Taylor get their way? Could the family-friendly, PG biopic become the industry standard? Who else's life might be ripe for reassessment?
