Parents Guide for
The Covenant (2006) More at IMDbPro »

The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

There is some passionate kissing in a couple of scenes.

Teenage boys in small, tight swimsuits (during a swim team meet) are seen.

There is a full scene of boys in the shower (partial nudity, not too bad).

There is also one scene where a teenage boy says to another "That thing between your legs -- it's like a penis, only smaller".

There is one scene that shows a girl in a shower. She is only seen from the waist up, except in one shot through blurry glass.

There is brief nudity in one scene where someone magically lifts up the skirt of a girl, seen from the back, revealing that she's wearing nothing under it.

Violence & Gore

In some scenes, you see men being thrown around in a building.

Two men get in a fight, but it is not serious.

A man is thrown against a wall numerous times.

This is a movie where the characters have supernatural powers and the majority of the violence is caused by supernatural forces that come from those characters (no gore).

Profanity

There is some moderate use of profanity, but the language in itself is not pervasively strong.

A woman is seen drinking liquor in one scene and is seen smoking in another scene.

There is no teen drug, alcohol, or smoking in this movie.

There are a few scenes that will make you jump in alarm or surprise.

In a few scenes, a man is chasing another man and it may make you think "get up!" or "no, don't go there!".

There is one scene that shows a dead man in a car.

Ghost-like images appear a couple of times.
