This movie is the first Turkish version of the movie "Love Story." It was filmed in the same year and the story seems to be quite the same; also with the novel. It's very romantic. It's about a rich guy and a poor girl, who fall in love. The poor girl Gul works at the library of the university, and when the rich guy Taner comes to the library, he's interested in her. Taner is the son of the owner of the university. Gul does not want to hang around with him, but still does. After a while, they fall in love and decide to get married. However, the parents of Taner do not approve the marriage. The lovers don't care and get married, with the help of Seker Ahmet, Gul's father. Everything goes fine till Gul is in a traffic accident, and the doctors discover that she's ill.
The movie has wonderful colors, and was filmed in many interesting locations. The best location is the house they live in. It has a great view of Istanbul. It's really worth seeing; it has a Turkish touch to the whole story, which really changes everything.
