With Maria gone, a new waitress is needed at Cafe Rene, the applicant arrive one by one, not all are suitable, Michelle of the Resistance offers a candidate, in the diminutive form of Mimi Lanbonq, who is very feisty.
It's a funny episode, it really does feel like a seed change, gone or Hans and Maria, introduced here are Mimi and Bertorelli, the laughs still generally come from Rene, Herr Flick and Helga, Sam Kelly was a huge loss.
The scene where the applicants are interviewed is very funny, the obvious jealousy towards the attractive blond, and the open arm welcome towards the old dear.
Mimi is great fun, and although she's outrageous, Sue Hodge was so wonderfully funny and zany, Captain Bertorelli perhaps wasn't my favourite character, he would get some funny moments as time went on, but he was a bit over the top, even for Allo Allo, his appearance after time with Mimi was very funny.
