Thanks to its Super Bowl lead-in, this was the highest rated episode in the history of "Alias" with a total figure of 17,400,000 viewers.
A real champagne bucket was used in the fight on the airplane. Jennifer Garner accidentally hit the stuntman and gave him a black eye.
The teaser from this episode (taken from its opening scene), aired as an ad during Super Bowl XXXVII. It featured Sydney undercover as "entertainment" for a target. First she appears wearing black lingerie, but the target instructs her to change into an equally-skimpy red outfit. When she subdues him, she demands to know what was wrong with the black. Black and red were, respectively the colors of the Oakland Raiders and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the two teams playing in Super Bowl XXXVII. The opening scene actually reflected the outcome of the game, since Oakland was the favorite going into the game, but Tampa Bay earned the victory.
Some fans debated whether two versions of the opening had been shot.
The bodyguard that Jennifer Garner fights with on the plane at the opening of the episode was the same man she had fought with on "Daredevil" where he had also been one of the stunt guys.
Originally, this episode was planned to be shown after 'Double Agent.' J.J. Abrams decided to move it up.
