Archie has a bad luck streak

Archie breaks a chain letter and disasters follow.

There are many good laughs in this one as toilets overflow, dinners burn and Archie thinks he may have hepatitis since he drank from the same glass as infected Munson. Robert Guillaume has a very funny guest appearance as a black doctor tending to Archie who of course puts his foot in his own mouth again.

Actors struggling with changes

The premise of the show was the 4 family members living under one roof. Now changed, the comedic flow is a mess. The actors now have an uphill battle. This episode was really poorly written. Irene stabs the Bunkers in the back with a chain letter. Archie & sick Munson chug-a-lug unexplainedly out of the same glass. The nurse is also the receptionist? The doctor Benson is a clone of previous black medical people Archie's crossed paths with. Nothing clicked. Mike now pops up continuously out of the blue.
