Archie's estranged brother Alfred shows up, trying to make up with him.
Not many laughs in this one, it strives for sentiment and fails. It also shows a lack of continuity with the earlier seasons. In the season 3 episode "Lionel Steps Out" Archie speaks to his brother "Freddie" as he calls him, and they seem to get along very well, Archie says his brother always wanted to be like him. In this episode Archie reveals Fred was a liberal union organizer, Mike laughs at this, he can't believe Archie's brother is a commie pinko, this was probably the only amusing moment. Gloria is annoying in this episode,but does not have much to do.
