In the final scene in the courthouse, Ronnie Dapo appears uncredited as one of Opie's fellow salve salesmen. He was featured in the previous year's episode Opie and the Spoiled Kid (1963). ********* UPDATE******* THIS INFORMATION IS INCORRECT! If you watch the last scene in the epilogue of this episode and pause it, true fans of the show will recognize that none of the boys is actor Ronnie Dapo.
The Miracle Salve owners should have sent the Miracle Salve to Dr. Pendyke the veterinarian, rather than send it to Opie Taylor senior. Opie Talyor senior just used the salve as a consumer and Dr. Pendyke is the one who wanted to resell the product.
Aunt Bee should never have accepted a delivery of this size and cost and to an unknown person as, Opie Taylor Senior without first calling Andy at work.
The stacks of Miracle Salve boxes sent to Andy's house would not actually be that big of a problem. Since no contracts were signed, and no money was paid, all Andy would need to do is store the boxes in his garage and wait for the salve people to come looking for their money; then just tell them to haul it away.
