1960s TV comedy as fresh as the day it was transmitted
A very effective comedy compilation, without a single weak entry, from the star's opening number to Jake Thackray's droll song, the "Burglar" sketch and my personal favourite, the musical housewives (a standard 'neighbour drops in to gossip and borrow a cup of sugar' scenario surreally rewritten to involve musical instruments).
I only watched this because the running length was billed as 32 minutes and I had precisely 34 minutes left on my Mediatheque viewing session: but it turned out to be the best thing I'd viewed all day, including a Cecily Courtneidge comedy and a big-screen Will Hay film.
Definitely recommended.
