Some episodes come with content warnings for race and prejudice etc, this one should come with one for depressing content, this must rate as one of the top ten saddest episodes of the show, the story is harrowing, the writer was clearly having some dark thoughts when penning this.
It is a very strong episode, it's definitely gritty, and somewhat thought provoking, it's just so unutterably bleak.
Susan Tracy was strong as the good Doctor, as was Tony Curran who played the undercover copper.
