Warning: Spoilers
New constable Maggie Doyle, played by Lisa McCune, is sent out to a rural station in Mt. Thomas. The Sgt. in charge, John Wood, is not at all pleased with getting "saddled' with a female constable.

She then discovers that an ex boyfriend, Grant Bowler, is in the same station. He is married to Ann Burbrook.

McCune takes a room in the local hotel ran by Julie Nihill. During her first night in town, McCune is involved in a case. A young girl, Radha Mitchell, is raped and beaten by her boyfriend, Josh Picker.

The Police grab up Picker and throw him in the cells. Mitchell swears out a formal complaint and Picker is charged with rape.

Picker comes from a local wealthy family who quickly bail him out. Picker then begins to put pressure on the girl to recant.

The Police again put the pinch on Picker for trying to influence a witness. His bail is revoked and back into the cells he goes.

Mitchell, who thinks that Picker will come after her again, tries to kill herself. McCune and Bowler find her in time to save her life.

There is also a sub plot about an old man whose dog attacks Bowler, and is then shot by McCune. The old guy pulls a rifle on the two constables and shoots up their truck. The Sgt, Wood, is needed to settle the problem.

The rest of the cast includes, William McInnes, Martin Sacks and Richard Moss.

Mitchell i recall from the Sci-Fi film, PITCH BLACK. McCune is on SEA PATROL (color)
