This was originally longer than 30 minutes and some scenes were cut. Just after Eddie gives Richie the used toilet roll with the cartoon and message at the end, it fades out. The next shot shows them in the kitchen, but if you look closely, Richie has something by his feet. This is a painting of himself that he gave Eddie as a present in the bedroom from earlier, but it was edited out.
When Eddie first sees the turkey, Richie is already holding it up. Yet in the next shot, you see him lifting it up again.
Eddie accidentally staples the wrong finger on Ritchie's hand and Richie cries out in pain. Yet for the rest of the episode there is no damage noticeable on his other fingers.
Richie almost breaks his leg whilst in Eddie's room at the beginning, but he doesn't limp at all for the rest of the episode.
It's 7:00 when the boys come down to the living room, when the tree is brought in it's 8:30. Bear in mind this happens in five minutes real time (estimate.) In a span of five minutes, ninety minutes pass.
When Richie lights the Christmas pudding, you can see that the flame is superimposed; it stays in the same place while Richie's hand, holding the pudding, moves.
During a few scenes after Richie's finger has been taped back on at an extreme angle, you can see Rick Mayall's real finger bent underneath it.
Even though you hear it ticking, the second hand on the clock in Eddie's room doesn't move.
When the dessert is set alight and then put out, when the camera changes shots you can see it move in quickly to prepare for the next shot.
When Eddie tells Spudgun and Hedgehog that Richie lost a lot of blood that morning, he refers to him as "she" three times.
