In "Our Son, the Man", Mike states that the attic in the house is only two and a half feet tall. The attic now is tall enough that adults can stand straight up with much head room to spare.
The exterior of the home is shown as a ranch style, possibly a split-level, but clearly not enough height to accommodate a third story. Yet interior shots show the main level as only a couple steps down from ground level and a full story up from there, and even an attic up from there. The exterior and interior are severely inconsistent.
When the girls come out of the attic and are in the hallway, the chair to the left of the attic door has arms, but when the boys are on their way up to the attic, the chair is armless. This continues throughout the following scenes.
