This episode marks the first appearance of the mysterious blue 1967 Oldsmobile Toronado that drives by the Brady home. This transition scene is used many times in subsequent episodes throughout the series.
According to Alice, she had been with the Brady family 7 years, 4 months, 13 days and 9 1/2 hours.
Mike Brady says he has an aunt in Albuquerque.
The title was based on the 1933 song "Annie Doesn't Live Here Anymore", written by Joe Young, Johnny Burke and Harold Spina and popularized by Guy Lombardo and his band The Royal Canadians.
The title of this episode is exactly the same as a movie released in 1974, starring Ellen Burstyn. This episode was aired five years before the release of the movie. Despite this, it's more likely that the episode title was a nod to the movie, not the other way around. This is a clear indication that the episodes might not have been given titles when originally aired. The DVD release of the series made it necessary to identify the episodes by title.
