A cook and so much more

Warning: Spoilers
Not a great episode for plot—bad guys trying to steal gold from Apache land—but for cast. Frank Puglia (Judson) had been in movies as a minor character actor forever. Victor Sen Yung (Ling Tang) is in my memory banks as Jimmy Chan in a number of Charlie Chan pictures with Sidney Toler; and in the TV series Bachelor Father as Cousin Charlie; and Hop Sing in Bonanza. But his life could (and should be ) a movie. He had a degree in economics from UC Berkeley, he appeared in 17 Charlie Chan film, during WW II he served in military intelligence, completed numerous films as the stereotyped Asian, and he was a chef who wrote The Great Wok Cookbook. But the actor who really made take a second look was Alvy Moore, the hapless shipboard cook in The Wackiest Ship in the Army, as he usually was the comic relief in countless films and TV episodes. Many will remember him as Hank Kimball on Green Acres. But here he is a rifle hefting killer.

Basically the story goes that Cochise saved Ling Tang, a cook, who was trying to find his employers. Because of this, he owes Cochise a debt of honor. And when he discovers his employer is not only trying to steal gold but kill Cochise, he has to risk all to save his friend. He does of course, and Tom Jeffers believes Ling should open a restaurant as his cooking and food are delicious.
