The most "creative" retelling of the story of Cole Younger, Belle Starr, and Jesse James I have ever seen. Bronco is sent by his old Union Army Commander General Shelby, now a US Marshall, to see Cole Younger in order to get his help in bringing in Jesse James aka Dingus. Belle Starr wants to get married to Cole and this could be a ticket out of the criminal life. But Cole Younger is a fool for his friend. Much to the anger of Belle, Cole agrees to one last job. The payoff would be $100,000. This would enable Belle and Cole to marry, then they along with Jesse and the gang can sail for Canada and buy a big spread and live free. What could go wrong, besides breaking the law, everything. When the smoke from all the bullets clears, only Jesse escapes. Everyone else goes to jail.

About the only "fact" in this episode was that Jesse actually had the nick name of Dingus. Interesting to see James Coburn as Jesse. And if you are really old, like me, then you get a chance to see Richard Coogan as Cole Younger. Richard who? The actor who played Captain Video from Captain Video and his Rocket Rangers.
