Blackout
dcdete2 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I have an educated guess that this episode title may be "Blackout". I have just finished watching an old VHS recording of this TV episode, and although the TV station edited out the title and jumped right into the guest star credits (Ed Asner received top billing), but SPOILER ALERT, a city wide power blackout is an intricate plot component with the hit men's attempted mobster hit. That makes more sense since I don't see anything was really FAKE concerning the story line.

Mob hit in Madrid
bkoganbing10 March 2021
Glenn For and the Madrid County sheriff's office get a tip that there's a mob hit going to be made in their area. The target is retired or maybe not so retired syndicate boss Ed Asner who lives in a most secure location there with daughter Shelley Fabares. Or at least they think it secure.

It's telegraphed early that there is inside help and there really is no suspense here. Nice gun battle though as the contract killers invade Asner's domain.

Decent enough episode.

A gangster's story
searchanddestroy-110 March 2015
I plenty enjoyed to see here Eddy Asner here as a mobster in total feud with his former associates. Well, besides this, don't expect much more. This episode provides just the action sequences audience wait for. Sam Cade is required to help the gangster in this gang war, and I find this rather unusual. And the hit men here don't look as hit men. They look like budding young executives. This episode is not the best of the series, for sure. Anyway, I'll never get tired of those seventies series, their atmosphere, scores, settings, everything.

Directed by Richard Donner, the guy who later gave us great large screen hits such as SUPERMAN and LETHAL WEAPON series.
