Chico's swanky pad
kevinolzak21 July 2016
"Chico's Problem" turns out to be one of the more pointless episodes, introducing yet another love interest for Chico who never shows her face again. This time Patricia Anne Joyce plays registered nurse Lisa Malone, the first female company to see Chico's swanky new pad in the garage storeroom (equipped with waterbed), so dedicated to her job that she can't give Chico the time of day even when she's off duty. Of course, the smoldering open mouthed kisses would seem to indicate a great deal of passion, but since she never appeared again why even bother? Both Ed and Chico would receive their fair share of female companionship this season, demonstrating the uncertainty felt by the writers, despite the show being in its third season. The little Latin lilt that follows the opening credits (introduced in this episode) would be heard for the remainder of the series run.
