Monica turns the garage into a sexy car wash
kevinolzak8 July 2016
"Ed Brown's Car Wash" finds Monica (Julie Hill's fifth appearance) earning a new job running a car wash in Ed's garage, the quartet led by Hilary Thompson, perennial gorgeous teenager, joined by newcomers Patch Mackenzie, Terri Paine, and Danuta Wesley (she replaced the late Carol Wayne as Johnny Carson's Tea Time Lady in 1985). In no time the girls drum up more business than Ed has seen for years, one customer (Tom Williams) driving around the block for seconds, another (Ray Ballard) who doesn't even own a car! Charles Fleischer, riding the coattails of his introduction as Carvelli on James Komack's WELCOME BACK, KOTTER, tops the guest cast as Charlie, ill fated boyfriend of one of the girls, who handcuffs himself to the bumper of one unfortunate car owner (Tim Herbert). At one point Ed gives out his birth date as October 10 and 11, being a big baby! The episode concludes with a profit of $110 for 37 cars washed, a final spot of Jack Albertson tap dancing (over the phone), only one final entry left to go.
