Mrs Peacock and Miss Scarlett are a tour de force at Bridge, Professor Plum invites friends of his, The Hopes to teach them a lesson, unbeknown to their fellow players, the pair are card sharks.
Possibly the best of the opening trio of episodes so far, I quite enjoyed this one, a good case, good characters, and another outrageous, over the top performance.
I've got to be honest, I had no idea who Need Sherrin was prior to this, so I did a quick search. Thelma Barlow on the other hand, known to millions as Coronation Street's Mavis, she seemed quite sweet.
Joanna Van Gyseghem would have been well known for Duty Free, and gets the special guest listing, Paul Darrow, I am such a fan of the man, but he's outrageously over the top here, that scene where he announces the death of his wife, talk about camp.
The members of the public on the case are both somewhat flamboyant it's fair to say.
7/10.
