The scenes featuring "Bonehead" and "Foyle" running around the street in only posing pouches and leather jackets, jumping on buses and running into a pub, were improvised and filmed on the spot. The members of the public shown had no idea it was for a TV show (notably they are not wearing their shoulder holsters at this point so no one would call the police).
A direct parody of the hugely popular ITV/LWT series The Professionals (1977-82).
Anthony Sharp died before transmission.
Prior to the pub scene Bonehead comments that if he hears 'My Way' sung badly one more he will go on a mad killing spree. This is exactly what he does after hearing the villains sing it in the final pub.
The copy of the Daily Mirror which Bonehead reads is from 6th April 1984.
