The long-running theme to the Cosby Show has always been a positive loving African-American family in Brooklyn, N.Y. This show broke so many sterotypes of African-Americans. This episode definitely proved this point. One point that my mother tried to make to me while I was growing up was the point of integrity. She always said that when people believe you, you will always have your integrity to fall back on. The issue of this episode is does Theo smoke marijuana. I love what his dad said, "You done many things, some good, some bad. But one thing you are not is a liar. So if you say it isn't yours then we believe you." The value of integrity is the lesson of this episode. Theo knew this; and that is why he did not lie to his parents and why he went back to school to find the drug user and have that boy tell Theo's parents as proof of Theo's sense of integrity.
