- Dharma tries to work through the feelings she obviously has for Charlie.
- Dharma must come to terms with her own guilt about Charlie. Dharma kissed him to make his ex-wife jealous, but he kissed her back. She has to resolve which direction the relationship will take. Dharma tries to be friends with Charlie. She invites him to her house to introduce him to Greg, but Greg is having his own issues with the rich kid Brandon. Greg was arrested when he was caught in a stolen car, which Brandon was driving. He comes back home in a foul mood and barely notices Charlie. Pete paid $200 to bail Greg out and now ponders over the ways in which Greg can pay him back. Pete doesn't want the $200.
Dharma is extra nice to Greg the next few days with sex in the office, picnic lunches and so on. Dharma goes to talk to Charlie and tells him it was a platonic and harmless kiss to make his ex-wife jealous. Dharma says she is happily married and can't cheat on Greg. Charlie indicates that he might have real feelings for Dharma. Charlie agrees to be friends with Dharma, when she insists that nothing can ever happen between the 2 of them.
Jane thinks she can never be "just friends" with Charlie as she has no male friends. Jane also notices that Dharma has shaved her legs for the study session with Charlie. Dharma goes out of her way to make sure that she treats Charlie like a friend and nothing more. They meet at a public restaurant for their study session. As soon as Charlie orders a bottle of wine, she leaves.
Dharma reaches out to Abby and Larry and says while she had feelings for Charlie, she loves Greg now more than ever. Abby and Larry advise Dharma to come clean to Greg and hope that he is comfortable inviting Charlie into their marriage. Abby says that suppressing her feelings about Charlie is only going to cause a lot of pain to Dharma. Larry and Abby argue that the notion that a relationship is confined to 2 people is arbitrary and an imposed convention from society. Dharma refuses to live in a threesome with Charlie and Greg.
Dharma is feeling guilty, but instead she projects that guilt on Greg for helping Brandon's mother to find a good divorce lawyer as she wanted to split up with Brandon's father. Greg even knew her last name and was talking to her at 8 30 PM. Dharma clears her GEDs and is set to go to college.
Dharma invites Charlie to her college admission party. Greg is nothing but supportive. He thanks Charlie for tutoring Dharma out of his free time and apologizes to Dharma for not being there himself.
Kitty understands that Dharma a little something with Charlie that is bothering her. She counsels Dharma to bear her burden in silence and spare Greg's feelings. Dharma admits that she had feelings for Charlie and that she shared a kiss with her. Kitty tells Dharma not to say anything to Greg unless she is considering leaving him. She politely says goodbye to Charlie in front of Greg.
