- Greg's argumentative side comes out in every daily encounter since he has no lawyerly outlet for it. Dharma joins a teen band. Guest starring: Bob Dylan.
- Greg is being terribly argumentative to the point of being insufferable, eruditely pointing out the tiniest details and driving everyone nuts being right and uses each available avenue, everywhere, even building a documented case his parents did a bad job raising him. The Finkelsteins insist Dharma must argue with Greg to prevent him seeking this satisfaction elsewhere. Ironically the only one who is naturally as smart, pedantic and sweet a gentleman as Greg, pizza delivery-boy Donald, invites Dharma to play in his band as the drummer is sick. Greg comes along, and soon starts arguing with the boys' parents telling them how they are driving Donald crazy too.—KGF Vissers
- Donald (J.D. Walsh), the cute college guy that Dharma went to prom with, works at the local supermarket now. Meanwhile Greg has entered a phase where he picks random fights with everyone, the checkout lady (Greg wants double coupons to be applied to his bill, but the lady says that only the first coupon can be applied to the bill. Also, the discount is only applicable to the individual soda cans and not the 6-pack), at the parking lot (a woman covers 2 parking slots with her car) and so on.
Dharma tries to meditate with Greg to try and get him to relax and calm down. But Greg gets argumentative with Dharma as well.
Dharma agrees to play drums for Donald's teenage garage band (the band is still divided between naming it "Apollo's Army" or "Snot") as she just needs to be away from Greg who is picking fights with everybody in earshot. Greg had picked up a fight with the pizza place when his pizza was not delivered on time. Larry wants to get involved with the band, but the band doesn't need a guitar player or a roadie.
Abby says that ever since Greg stopped being a lawyer, he has no outlet to release all his argumentative energy. This is like when Larry stopped being a rodeo clown but could not stop taunting bulls. On Abby's advice Dharma helps Greg through his crisis by purposefully invoking arguments with him. Abby says that if Dharma doesn't, Greg might be compelled to meet his needs outside of home.
Greg is arguing with everyone & Dharma has to step in to let Greg release all the lawyer energy in him to find an outlet. Dharma keeps picking random counterarguments to engage Greg whenever he gets argumentative, even though she hates arguing.
But she loves Greg even more and decides to help him through this phase of his life. Dharma is tired from arguing. One night she woke up Greg as he was snoring. Greg contests the allegation and after 3 hours of arguments, he claims that since Dharma has no witnesses, she has no case.
Dharma needs a break from Greg and tells him that his parents told her that he had a happy childhood. Greg barges into Kitty and Edward and puts them on trial to prove that he did not have a happy childhood.
The band is now called "Snot's Army". Dharma and Greg attend a party thrown by Donald's parents where the band performs. Dharma and Greg get into a huge fight in front of everybody how Donald's parents are responsible for his poor socialization skills, and somehow the fight shifts to their own parents. Greg retorts that Dharma cannot even call her parents Mother and Father as that would make them authority figures. While Dharma says that Kitty practically lives inside Greg's head and has an ice-cold heart.
Dharma is kicked out of the band. Greg thanks Dharma for arguing with him and making him realize that his obsession with being right has prevented him from achieving any peace and serenity. Dharma joins Bob Dylan's rock band.
