The first part of this story is rather confusing. You seem to have two stories in parallel, a girl on a bus is accosted by two young soldiers who later try to molest her, and in the same time you assist to a normal office day in a newspaper editing room. Through those two stories you have a good character study. Two stories which will eventually cross. I hesitate to tell you more, to spoil you further this very inventive scheme, the kind of one we will see some decades later in even more complex edited films. I am still very surprised by the way this story is built, the way the screenwriter tells this drama. Very daring for this era. You also can see this as a tough portrait of the press and its negative effect that it may have on some people fate. Buzz Kullik gave a brilliant job here. Worth seeing. I would have expected to see Ann Blyth a little more. We hardly see her more than a few minutes.
