Only four days til Christmas, Tony is planning a trip to Scotland, and Stan is desperate to get hold of the missing Christmas tree lights, which Phillipa has lost.
Such is the brilliance and variety of the show, this episode feels like a comedy soap somehow, with big moments and soap like bombshells being thrown in. You could imagine the EastEnders music playing out this one.
It's not the funniest, it's bittersweet, but as always the acting and writing are spot on, I keep waiting for Phillipa to tell Stan where to go. We get to see Victoria Wood at her very best here, her acting is first rate, loved a wired Bren.
