When Lucard finds out the cross has been removed, it is a race to see whether the cross can be replaced before Lucard pays the household a visit; but how did he find out that it was gone...?—Leslie Brado
- Gustav Helsing's old friend Peter Dyson (John Gilbert) and wife Anna (Dawn Greenhalgh), once Helsing's girlfriend, come to visit. Meanwhile, Max has learned that the Cross of the Magyars, which hangs in the hallway and protects the house from vampires, has not been blessed recently. When Max removes the cross in order to have it blessed as a surprise to his uncle, Lucard sees his chance to gain entry into the household by casting his influence over the Dysons. Fortunately, the nosferatu-ish sexton (Francois Pescatore) returns the newly-blessed cross just in time. After Lucard has been repelled from the Helsing house, Gustav explains to Max that the cross was crafted by Saint Varma and never needs reblessing.
