Catch 22 or cop out 22 ?

Just re watched the final episode again,tonight after a long time having not seen it . It wasn't meant to be a final episode as such as I don't think the show had been cancelled when it was done . It left 3 cliffhangers - Fallon & Krystina trapped down an underground mine , Alexis & Dex pushed off a balcony and Blake getting shot. No wonder the actors were angry after this ,the way the public were being cheated out of proper conclusion. Well we did get a resolution 2 years later in the Reunion but it pales in comparison to the 9th series.

If you wish to know what happens after 'catch 22', you need to watch the miniseries that was aired in 1991, 2 years after the last episode of the Dynasty series. It's called 'Dynasty: The Reunion' and it's set 2 years on from the 'catch 22' episode. You'll find out what happened to Blake, Crystal, Alexis, Dex and all the others. It was originally aired for 2 hours over 2 nights, but is in either 2x2 hour episodes or 4x1 hour episodes in syndication. It wasn't a great miniseries in my opinion, but at least it tied up all the loose ends from the final episode of the series. It might be on DVD, but I'm not certain of that. The ending ties up all the loose ends, and isn't a cliff hanger in itself so doesn't need a sequel. True Dynasty fans will enjoy it somewhat, but for anyone watching it without having seen the series would probably find it quite slow and boring in parts.

The last episode of dynasty left everyone hanging. Whatever happened after Dex, Alexis fell over the railing? Was there a followup movie at a later date.? I watched the reunion last night with some of the returning stars but nothing was mentioned as to the cliffhanger ending of the series. Had dynasty producers planned for another season? I haven't watched dynasty or Dallas in yrs and saw on the soap channel that both of the series were running. I am now hooked again with these 2 sitcoms. Joan Collins looked great in the reunion. She has to be in her 70's now but she looks ever so young. Comments are appreciated if anyone knows the outcome of catch 22.

No Happy Endings

Like it's rival show Dallas this last episode ends in a cliffhanger and just like JR Ewing Blake Carrington also gets shot basically this episode follows the same ending as Dallas.

Have the writers ever seen this show?

It's like the 9th season of writers had never seen the show. Roger Grimes was originally the estate agent. Now he is was partner in an architect firm that remodeled there mansion.... How is Jeff supposed to be Monica's half sister? Jeff's father died in the Vietnam war. Monica is younger than Jeff. Sable is Monica's mother but not Jeff's mother. If Monica believed Jason to be her father, how could Jeff be her sister? This makes no sense.... Dominique's birth name was Millie Cox not Williams. This is not the aunt that raised Dominique. Her only lining relative was there Aunt she visited earlier in the series..... Jeff was six when him and his friends went to play at the mine and were kicked out??? 6 realy???..... LB at 7 years old, takes a bus from Jeff's apartment to Denver-Carrington to see Blake. His parents are multi millionaires. He has always been surrounded by nannies, had probably never been anywhere that he didn't arrive by limosine and he knows how to take a bus across town? I find it had to believe he knows what a bus is..... Jason Colby who was dying and only had a few months to live... Has now 3 years later, left his wife for her sister??? It's like they just have up and wrote whatever ..... This site deserves better than this mess of a season.
