Wow, so Morris will be the chief resident! Now that could be funny! Although I did feel pretty bad for him for people not being happy for him, he didn't even get the cake.

So it looks like carter mainly get his position because of the money, I kind of feel bad for Susan as she has no chance in it then. Interesting how it will influence their relationship dynamics. I am sure they will be OK for the most though.

Well, I felt bad for many people in this episode, including the guy who got raped and Ray who was trying to help him, which kind of got him some trouble as well.

I like this episode, but

So, Morris gets the büro-job. Smart decision. And I actualy like Morris.

The arsonist vs morphinist paralel is clever too, and well-executed.

What I don't get in the episode, why we have to suffer through a violation of basic human rights, namely baptism of an infant?

Susan's envy

Susan's envy of Carter was amusing. They both act as moody women, but Carter is a better physician. Even without the massive donation from the Carter Foundation, Carter was the better choice.

If Morris were female, he would get more support and encouragement. In the unusually unprofessional environment of the ER, colleagues do their best to make Morris feel discouraged.
