- Enterprise helps an alien woman, Rajiin, seeking to escape her life as a sex slave. Once on board she uses her alien abilities to gather biometric data about humans and is recaptured by her employers, the Xindi council.
- Enterprise visits a trading colony on a planet in the Expanse. A chemist offers to sell them the formula for synthesizing trellium-D, a hull insulation vital for travel through the Expanse. Archer, Reed and Trip trade a variety of Earth spices for the formula. Returning to the shuttle, Archer passes a pimp selling sex slaves. One of the slaves, Rajiin, runs from the pimp and begs Archer to help her escape. On board, Rajiin uses her charm to make contact with several crew members.—Meribor
- The Xindi Council meet to discuss the progress of Enterprise. Although the Reptilians and Insectoids want to attack the humans, Degra (Randy Oglesby) advises them to continue with the plan to build the super-weapon, despite some delays and recent setbacks. On Enterprise, Sub-Commander T'Pol continues to help Commander Tucker with Vulcan neurological-pressure sessions (Tucker wants to stop as crew is spreading rumors about his possible hook-up with T'Pol). The crew, seeking the formula for a compound to reinforce the ships hull against spatial anomalies, approach a planet with a vast floating alien bazaar. Captain Archer leads an away team to meet with B'Rat Ud (Dell Yount), a chemist who they have met before.
After bartering, he sells them the formula for liquid Trellium-D, and also informs them that the Xindi recently visited a merchant nearby. Archer meets the merchant, Zjod (Steve Larson), a slaver who tries to sell him a female called Rajiin (Nikita Ager). Archer refuses and leaves, but Rajiin chases after him. Following a fight between Archer and Zjod, the away team leave with Rajiin, and Archer promises to return her to her home planet of Oran'Taku.
Later she approaches Archer in his quarters, and as she nears him she puts him in a trance (She uses the intimacy to scan Archer from front to back and even takes his DNA sample), and he no longer remembers her visit. Meanwhile, T'Pol and Tucker attempt to replicate the chemical from B'Rat's formula but the first attempt fails (The first batch explodes). Trellium-D is extremely unstable in its liquid form, so the duo have to follow the protocols precisely. Meanwhile one crew-member loses their arm when the spatial anomaly hits her lab.
Afterwards, T'Pol returns to her cabin and is surprised to find Rajiin inside. T'Pol tries to resist, but is soon overcome by her seductive powers. T"Pol is only saved when Rajiin has to run away when Tucker arrives at the cabin for his daily neurological-pressure session with T'POl. Rajiin attempts to flee using the transporter (She is very skilled at hand to hand combat), but is quickly captured and placed in the brig. As Archer attempts to question her, Lieutenant Reed informs him that two Reptilian ships are on an intercept course. Rajiin admits she was gathering information for the Xindi (for a new bio-weapon they are building against the humans). She tells Archer that she wants to help him, but his ship is in danger and the best thing for Archer is to let her go. Meanwhile, T'Pol hasn't yet recovered from her trance and has severe neurological trauma, according to Phlox.
Reptilians, after running battles with the crew (The reptilians are hardly impacted by Enterprise phase pistols and other arms), retrieve Rajiin and take her back to one of the ships. Archer manages to capture one of the reptiles, but he dies. Enterprise attempts to pursue, but the Xindi enter a subspace vortex. Afterwards, the Council convenes again to discuss the development and construction of a new bio-weapon, a project helped by Archer's bio-data that was stolen by Rajiin. T'Pol recovers. The Insectoids want to proceed on both fronts.
