Double Standard (1980)
Mindy Cohn: Natalie Green
Quotes
-
Harrison Andrews : I came to return Jo's shoe.
Natalie Green : What'd you do with the rest of her?
-
Mrs. Edna Ann Garrett : Have you known each other long?
Blair Warner : Ever since we were babies. Our families have always hoped we would grow up and join our two great bloodlines.
Jo Polniaczek : Are you people, or racehorses?
Blair Warner : Better a racehorse than a jackass. Of course, we haven't seen each other in years.
[gushes]
Blair Warner : Harrison's been going to school in Switzerland.
Jo Polniaczek : [to Harrison] What did you major in, yodeling?
Harrison Andrews : It's a little more than that.
Mrs. Edna Ann Garrett : Well, after Switzerland, I hope you don't find Bates Academy boring.
Blair Warner : It will be such fun. We'll pick up where we left off when we were six.
Natalie Green : That would be sweet, seeing you two pedaling around on tricycles.
Blair Warner : Harrison's toys have four wheels now. Tell them about your new Porsche.
Harrison Andrews : Oh, I just got it.
Blair Warner : Candy-apple red, with his initials on the door.
Jo Polniaczek : [excited] Turbo-charged?
Blair Warner : Of course not! He paid cash.
-
Natalie Green : In my book, if you don't get an engraved invitation in front of witnesses, it's iffy at best.
-
Natalie Green : [as they play Scrabble] Relax, Blair, you are so uptight.
Mrs. Edna Ann Garrett : [very much upset] I am not uptight.
Natalie Green : Then how come you keep spelling words like 'call' and 'phone' and 'dance' and 'kill'?
Mrs. Edna Ann Garrett : Because I am going to kill Harrison if he doesn't call me on the phone and tell me about the dance.
Natalie Green : [softly] As long as you're not uptight.
-
Natalie Green : [as Blair dropped out of playing Scrabble] Relax, Blair, you are so uptight.
Blair Warner : [upset] I am not uptight.
Natalie Green : Then how come you keep spelling words like 'call' and 'phone' and 'dance' and 'kill'?
Blair Warner : Because I am going to kill Harrison if he doesn't call me on the phone and tell me about the dance.
Natalie Green : [softly] As long as you're not uptight.
-
Natalie Green : Because... Harrison is in a state of flux.
Blair Warner : What's that?
Natalie Green : It's what comes in between adolescence and law school.
Blair Warner : Oh, you mean rebellion? Well, if he wanted to rebel, why didn't he just say so? I would have rebelled with him.
Natalie Green : Blair, to you rebellion is using your salad fork all through dinner.
