If you're here, you probably know the basis for The Fall Guy ... an expert stunt man and stunt coordinator who moonlights as a bail recovery agent.

In this episode, Eddie Albert plays against type as a powerful sheriff from a small Arizona town who, while intoxicated, runs down a boy on a bicycle. When the boy dies, he flees LA.

It's Colt and Howie's unenviable task to beard the sheriff in his stronghold and bring him back for trial.

There is a second subplot with Lou Rawls playing a black country western singer who gets in trouble with drug dealers. That plot is utterly extraneous, except for a cool trick Colt plays on those bad guys while in the process of extracting the sheriff.

There is a great laugh right at the end that makes the two hours well worth watching.
