- Cleo Hewitt: I think it would really be neat to be a stewardess. The only thing is, I'm sorta scared to death of flying.
- Dwight Mendenhall: Not that I'd ever consider giving up the sousaphone, but I like the idea of being a leader of men.
- Joe Garver: Well, of course, you know you have to start out as a private.
- Dwight Mendenhall: Well... General Patton probably didn't start out as a general.
- Quentin Morloch: [on phone] Listen, I'm pro-nuke myself. No, no, what I mean is, I don't want a nuclear war any more than the next fella, but I think this freeze business is a lotta hooey.
