This was a remake of "I'm No Hero", an episode of "Suspense" which starred Hume Cronyn in the James Dean role.
This was James Dean's second appearance on "General Electric Theater". His first was in the November 14, 1954 episode, "I'm A Fool", which was based on a Sherwood Anderson Short Story and co-starred Eddie Albert and Natalie Wood. Ronald Reagan introduced James Dean in both of his appearances.
