During the opening scene after Hymie nearly kills the Chief, Max is alternately standing parallel to the Chief and 99 alongside the bookshelf in the medium shots and turned toward/facing them when he is shown in close-ups.
Max thinks Hymie runs on AC and he says that he'll "plug him into DC and see what happens." He then plugs Hymie into a receptacle which provides AC, not DC. Also, if Hymie runs on batteries, he runs on DC. It would have made more sense if Max had said "I think he's DC but I'll plug him into AC and see what happens" as opposed to the other way around.
The close shot of the bookshelf the Chief stands next to in the opening scene while trying to fend off Hymie reveals that several of the blue books on the shelf (especially the first four on the left end of the shelf with the horse figurine and several of the books to the right of that figurine) are recognizably California statute books published by the West Publishing Company. A secret spy organization in Washington, D.C. should not have had California law books on its Chief's bookshelf; but since the series was actually filmed in California, these books were undoubtedly easier to obtain to fill in the shelf.
When Hymie is first in the Chief's office, Max stops him and says, "I'm going to short-circuit his wiring." He then plugs Hymie in. This would actually be surging, not short-circuiting.
