Luke can't handle the drama with Lorelai and breaks up with her. She stays in bed all day, sobbing. Rory leaves school to come take care of her mom. The town is wearing their pink & blue bows and Rory has to go around and get rid of them. Lorelai makes a call to Luke and immediately regrets it but Luke comes over anyways.

The show got very intense with all the drama, during Richard and Emily's second wedding. And I love that, it can be surprising sometimes with its way of letting casualness aside, and go for a more serious approach. In Say Something, Luke and Lorelai break up, which is fine by me, because I really don't like them as a couple. And Rory gets terrible dating advice. But the way she bent over backwards afterwards, for her heartbroken mother, was very sweet. And showed what a great and loving daughter she can be. And the whole episode was fun anyway. Even Paris kind of made me laugh, this time. And Rory and Logan's relationship is developing nicely. The part where she stole Taylor's bows, was great too. But it ended with both Lorelai and Luke grasping at straws, and I hated that. The way she handled the breakup was not very mature... But to have writers indulge in her fantasy of him second guessing his decision, was too much. Also the whole birthday party thing at the Inn, was boring and barely relevant to the story.
