Iolaus gets a persuasive dream, giving him the irresistible urge to go north and finally make his fateful mark somehow, so Hercules comes with him. There king Polonius of Bethos and his Hera-devoted queen Maliphone are desperate to avert the Delphi oracle's prophecy a newborn from another house will succeed to the throne. Robber Trinculos and new father Uris, a Thessalian farmer, get similar dreams, urging them north, and meet our heroes in border village Tulosa, ultimately teaming up. Hera sends scorching henchmen, Hercules faces those as well as the royal guards, who have orders to kill every baby boy under age one.
