Kyra's story was cut short

1. Blond British actress Alice Evans is immortal Kyra, another character who was considered for the spin off series, but unfortunately the writers didn't give this character much of a chance. A bodyguard by profession, Kyra experiences hysterical amnesia after she failed to protect a judge who is also her mortal lover. Too much of the episode is spent showing Kyra as she remembers a painful event and recovers from the amnesia. When she finally does she only has 11 minutes left in the episode to show what she can do. 2. Kyra does take care of business with minimal help from Duncan. She also looks great and has a nice head of hair. 3. In the flashback where Kyra and Duncan met we watch a scene which is probably the most risque of the entire TV series. Risque as far as suggestive language goes. It was really rather surprising to hear and it really didn't seem to fit into a Highlander conversation that we are accustomed to hearing. 4. Although that flashback is noticeable it does not ruin the episode. Kyra still makes a good impression and should have been treated better by the writers.

Even for this show, this episode pushes the envelope a little for sexy and suggestive although there have been ones where more skin was revealed. Still Alex runs around with skimpy attire a couple times. The first scene is disgusting and unnecessary even before the first murder as the male nurse molests the catatonic Alex as an interrupted rape.

The historical scene is loaded with suggestive dialogue and innuendo. Quite suggestive.

Possible goof? Did Queen Anne's personal guard wear underwear that looks like a bra strap? Looked a couple centuries too early for historic attire.

The story was engaging and the Alex character was well done. She would have done nicely for the Raven.
