- Jonathan persuades an influential United States senator to restore severe Congressional budget cuts dealing with health-care, but when the senator suffers a fatal heart attack on the Senate floor, the assignment seems doomed to failure.
- An influential United States senator (Albert) is about to vote in favor of cuts in health-care in the Congressional budget, and none of Jonathan's arguments seem able to change his mind. But when the senator's grandson is hospitalized and may die because of the budget cuts, the senator is made to realize that he must undo what he's done. When his efforts to change his colleagues' minds and votes prove unsuccessful, he resorts to a Congressional filibuster to stall the vote, but a fatal heart attack suffered on the floor may doom his efforts and the assignment to failure ... unless a miracle occurs.—Tony Scheinman
- Jonathan and Mark visit Mark's sister. They learn that her boyfriend's daughter is sick and that there's a drug that can help her but it's unavailable because the drug companies claim it's too expensive for them to produce on their own. They say that they were suppose to get Federal assistance but it was not included in the Federal budget. Jonathan and Mark go to Washington to see what they can do to get it restored, while Mark's sister tries to find other people who are in the same situation who can go to Washington to plead their case. Jonathan and Mark meet with A Congressman who while empathetic says that there's little that can be done, because it is no on the floor of the Senate and the likelihood it will be passed. So Jonathan tries to speak to Senator MacCorkindale about it but he's on his way to get the budget passed. But when he learns his daughter is about to give birth, he heads to the hospital and Jonathan follows but he refuses to speak to him. Later he has a dream that his grandchild is going through the same thing and when he wakes up Jonathan tells him who he is and that he gave him the dream to show him what those people are going through. He decides to do what he can to get the funding restored but when he calls he learns that they're about to vote on it so Jonathan whisks him there. He tries to speak about it but another senator who wants the budget passed threatens him if keeps them here.—rcs0411@yahoo.com
