- [first lines]
- Harry: You really serious about going out there, Johnny?
- Johnny Ringo: I don't get job offers every day, Harry - not like this.
- Harry: Is the offer for Johnny Ringo or his gun?
- Johnny Ringo: ...I just separate the two.
- Cason "Case" Thomas, Store Owner: I got the idea from a French gunsmith called LeMat. Think of it, Johnny - a seven-shooter! One extra bullet that'll make all the difference.
- Johnny Ringo: A seven-shooter, huh? How does it work?
- Cason "Case" Thomas, Store Owner: Well, it looks like a regular six-shooter, but there's a separate barrel for an extra shell. Not just a forty-five shell, mind you, but a .410 shotgun shell.
- Pat Merlin: They tell me at the stable Ringo's here.
- Harry: Might be. You a friend of his?
- Pat Merlin: Sorta. Is he inside?
- Johnny Ringo: I'm Ringo. What can I do for you?
- Pat Merlin: Why, my name is Merlin, Pat Merlin. This is my son, Hank. We came a long way, Mr. Ringo. My boy here is going to kill you.
- [to Pat Merlin after he shoots Pat's son in an unnecessary gunfight]
- Johnny Ringo: Why would God give a son to somebody like you?
- [Case, the acting sheriff, offers to escort Johnny to the nearest saloon]
- Johnny Ringo: Now wait a minute. You sure you can leave here?
- Cason "Case" Thomas, Store Owner: Of course I can leave here. You see, I'm only kind of an acting sheriff as you might say. The name's Thomas, Case Thomas
- Johnny Ringo: Glad to meet you. Where's your regular sheriff?
- Cason "Case" Thomas, Store Owner: Oh, about a mile from here... it was a nice funeral.
