okay just for the record, this episode of KWK played out over 3 solid weekends here on North American basic cable television. Why? I don't know. Your guess is as good as mine. Okay, sure it had two of the most important superstars wives in Bollywood Gauri Khan (wife of a Shah Rukh Khan, uh...yeah, you might have heard of him) and Suzanne Roshan (wife of a Hrithik Roshan, Hmmmm! ring a bell?). But why Mr. Johar spent so long interviewing them still eludes me. His lengthy interview of the ladies was chopped up into 2 weeks worth of episodes ending the 3rd week where their husbands were brought on to add clout. Not for nothing but, trust me your average Bollywood leading lady (you name it, be it Kareena, Aishwarya or Amisha) have more on screen chemistry with these men that their real life wives do. I'm Just Sayin'
Anyways, apart from Gauri Khan's funny quip about her insecurities being the wife of such a big star as Shah Rukh, the only thing worth paying attention to in this episode is the segment where Karan quizzed the ladies about their husbands. Suzanne(acing all questions) it appeared, seemed to know Hrithik more than Gauri knew Shah Rukh and during that segment we also found out that SRK has a crush on Catherine Zeta Jones & Hrithik on Charlize Theron. That was interesting, until Karan's behind-the-scenes cameras showed us what went on during the commercial breaks. Suzanne and Gauri actually called their husbands to get the answers to the questions and memorised them for when the cameras began to roll again. Pathethic! I like Gauri though, she seemed more down-to-earth and at ease. Something about Suzanne just screamed "Trophy wife" and "Push-over."
During the rapid fire round, the couples switched the cards on Karan and made him answer the uneasy questions. That didn't reveal much other than the fact that he(Karan) believes that all Bollywood actresses have fake breasts and that Preity Zinta has hair problems. Ouch! Oh! and I missed out the part where Hrithik said that he fell in love with Suzanne when he was 12. Pedo anyone?
